Why Work With Us on College Essays

Your child’s voice, sharpened

We never write for students. Your child does the writing, and we help them find the story only they can tell and say it clearly.

Feedback on every draft

Each draft gets specific notes on structure, detail and tone, not just grammar fixes, so every revision moves the essay forward.

One plan for every essay

We map the personal statement, UC questions and supplements together, so your child can reuse ideas wisely and meet every deadline.

Every Part of the Application

Tell us which colleges are on your child’s list, and we will plan the writing each application needs.

Parts of the college application and what we work on together
Writing What we work on
Common App personal statement Brainstorming, choosing a topic and shaping a draft of up to 650 words that shows who your child is beyond grades and scores.
UC Personal Insight Questions Choosing four of the eight prompts and writing focused answers of up to 350 words each, with concrete examples.
Supplemental essays Answering “Why this college?”, community and short-answer prompts with research and specifics for each school.
Activities and honors Writing short, strong descriptions that show impact and leadership in the limited space each application allows.
Final review A last read for clarity, consistency and polish across the whole application before your child submits.

How It Works

Step 1

Consultation

Start with a consultation to talk through your child’s schools, deadlines and where they are with their essays. This helps us match the right writing coach.

Step 2

Writing coach match

Your child is matched with an experienced writing coach by goals, interests and schedule, so sessions feel natural from the start.

Step 3

Brainstorm and plan

Together they find the strongest stories, then plan every essay on a shared calendar, from the personal statement to the last supplement.

Step 4

Draft, feedback and polish

Your child writes, the coach gives detailed notes, and each round gets sharper until every essay is ready to submit.

Bring your questions. We’ll help with the next step.

A consultation is a place to talk through schools, deadlines and a practical writing coach match.

Talk About College Essays

Essays That Help Your Child Stand Out

Many applicants have similar grades and activities. The essays are where your child can show how they think, what they care about and what they will bring to a campus.

Good coaching keeps that voice intact. We ask the questions that bring out real detail, point out what is working and what is not, and leave the writing in your child’s hands.

Why Families Choose Our Essay Coaching

Frequently asked questions

Will you write my child’s essays?

No. Your child writes every word. We coach the process: brainstorming, structure, feedback and revision, so the finished essays are honest, personal and theirs.

When should my child start their college essays?

The summer before senior year is ideal. It gives time to brainstorm, write several drafts and finish the personal statement before supplements and early deadlines in the fall.

How many drafts does an essay usually take?

It varies, but most strong essays go through several rounds of revision. We keep going until your child is proud of the result and the deadline is met.

Do you help with UC Personal Insight Questions?

Yes. We help your child choose four of the eight prompts and write focused answers with clear, concrete examples.

Can sessions be online?

Yes. Sessions are live and one-on-one, online or at our Newport Beach office, and drafts are shared and reviewed online either way.

Let’s take the next step, together.
