How We Prepare for the AP
Step 1
Consultation and diagnostic
We review your child’s exam schedule, goals and current grades or scores. A diagnostic shows exactly which areas need the most work.
Step 2
Customized tutor match
Your child is paired with a tutor who knows their AP subject, matched by learning style and schedule.
Step 3
Individualized AP study plan
Lessons follow the current unit and the exam format, targeting weak areas and reinforcing strengths.
Step 4
Continuous support and progress reports
Families get regular feedback and clear progress updates as exams get closer.
Bring your questions. We’ll help with the next step.
A consultation is a place to talk through courses, exam dates and a practical tutor match.

Book an AP ConsultationFrequently asked questions
When should my child start AP tutoring?
Ideally early in the course, so each unit is solid before the next one builds on it. Many students also add focused exam review from March, ahead of the May exams.
Do you help with class work or only the AP exam?
Both. Sessions follow the current unit for homework, quizzes and tests, and shift toward full exam practice as May gets closer.
How are AP exams scored?
AP exams are scored from 1 to 5. Many colleges award credit or placement for a 3, 4 or 5, but policies vary, so check the colleges on your child’s list.
Can you help with FRQs and essays?
Yes. Tutors practice FRQs, essays, DBQs and LEQs with your child and review every answer against the official scoring rubrics.
Is online AP tutoring effective?
Yes. Online sessions are live and one-on-one, with the same diagnostic, plan and progress updates as sessions at our Newport Beach office.
